Aliyev meets Bahraini, Kuwaiti FMs
President Ilham Aliyev received the foreign ministers of Bahrain and Kuwait on Friday.
In a meeting with Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid Bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, Aliyev said relations between the two countries were developing successfully. He stressed the need to further expand political, economic and cultural ties.
The Azerbaijani leader cited prospects for cooperation between the two countries, expressing confidence that the Bahraini minister’s visit would serve the purpose.
Al-Khalifa said great changes have taken place in the country since his first visit paid last year. He also expressed hope for the expansion of relations between Bahrain and Azerbaijan in all fields.
Receiving Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Muhammad al-Sabah al-Salim al-Sabah, President Aliyev said the operation of the two countries’ embassies was an important element of bilateral relations. He voiced confidence that Azerbaijan and Kuwait would expand cooperation in all areas as well as within international organizations.
Al-Sabah said the opening of the Kuwaiti embassy in Azerbaijan indicated that Kuwait attached great importance to its relations with Azerbaijan. He voiced hope that the two countries would continue active political dialogue and efficient cooperation in the future.*
